When is the Christmas market open?

The Christmas market is back this year, running from December 3rd through December 27th, 2026.

What are the opening hours?

Christmas Village Amsterdam is open during the following times:

MON / FRI 3 TO 24 DEC

12:00 PM to 9:00 PM

25 & 26 DEC

12:00 PM to 7:00 PM

27 DEC

12:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Getting to the Christmas market

We recommend traveling by public transport. Christmas Village is easily accessible from Amsterdam Central Station: Trams 2, 3, and 5 all stop at the Museumplein stop, from which it is just a short walk to the Christmas market.

You can also take Metro line 52 (towards Zuid) to the Vijzelgracht stop, which is about a 15-minute walk from the Christmas market.

Is there parking available?

There is a Q-Park located under Museumplein where you can park quickly and easily. Fees apply.

Are there toilets available?

Yes, restroom facilities are available on-site during opening hours. A fee may be charged for the use of the toilets.

Can I buy food and drinks at the Christmas market?

Yes, there are various food and drink options available at Christmas Village. You will find winter treats, hot drinks, savory snacks, and more.

Can I pay by card at the Christmas market?

Many vendors accept card payments. Payment options may vary from stall to stall.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are welcome, provided they are kept on a leash. Please be mindful of crowds, noise, and other visitors.
